Welcome to Elafonisos Flame, a place where unique handmade creations are born with love and attention to detail. We craft handmade candles from soy and olive wax, as well as decor from artistic gypsum, inspired by the beauty of Elafonisos Island.
Each piece is carefully crafted and carries the warmth of the artisan’s hands, bringing coziness and harmony to your home.
Handmade Candles
Our candles are made from natural soy and olive wax, which:
- Does not emit harmful substances when burned.
- Burns longer and more evenly compared to paraffin candles.
- Provides a soft, natural glow that creates a cozy atmosphere.
Candle usage recommendations:
- Trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn for a clean flame.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended or near flammable objects.
- Allow the candle to burn until the top layer of wax is fully melted to prevent tunneling.
- Do not burn the candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time.
- Any decorative element on the candle must be removed to prevent fire.
- Wax flower compositions should not be burned in a bouquet. Each flower should be burned separately on a tray (gypsum, ceramic, or metal)
Artistic Gypsum Decor
Each piece is handcrafted with attention to form, texture, and mood. We use high-quality artistic plaster — a refined material with a natural texture that gives each item warmth and character.
After casting, the pieces are left to dry naturally, without any accelerators. This allows the plaster to gain strength and maintain its organic structure.
Slight porosity and subtle surface variations are natural characteristics of the material, making each item truly one of a kind.
Finally, each piece is primed, painted, and coated with a protective varnish to ensure durability and long-lasting beauty.
Care recommendations for gypsum products:
- Use items only for their intended purpose (vases for dried flowers, trays for lightweight objects).
- Avoid prolonged contact with water and humidity – gypsum can absorb moisture and deteriorate.
- Do not subject the items to heavy mechanical stress or impacts, as gypsum is a fragile material.
Usage instructions:
- Wipe with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or rough sponges.
- Keep away from heat sources (radiators, heaters) to prevent cracking.
- Store in a dry environment protected from sudden temperature and humidity changes.
